When a building is undergoing major refurbishment or is being demolished, a Type 3 Survey must be undertaken to determine the presence of ACMs. This is an incredibly thorough survey that inspects every part of the building, ensuring that the builders or tradesman working in the building do not come into contact with asbestos. In order to thoroughly analyse certain areas of the building, then the surveys may have to break walls, ceilings and flooring in their endeavour to inspect every inch of the building.

Soft Strip Demolition
Advanced Asbestos Contractors can perform the soft stripping of a building, which is the selective removal of all the internal fixtures and fittings. Our specialist team have been trained to work with any obstacles, such as live electrics, ensuring all the contents of the inside of the building are removed.
When undertaking the deconstruction of a building, there always is a possibility of hazardous materials being hidden within its structure. When it is detected, our team will deal with professionally before resuming with the soft stripping of the building. With each demolition, we will look to re-use or recycle much of the fixtures and fittings that are being removed. The rest of the contents will be sent to waste management.
This includes the removal of:
- Partition Walls
- Suspended Ceilings
- Room Clearance
- Brickwork
- Doors & Door Frames
- Cupboards
